It is long overdue to TAKEOVER BP,

because - like all oil giants worldwide - the fossil energy dinosaurs benefit from the prevailing wars. With every bomb, with every shot, the giants profit from the increasing or perceived, real or imagined scarcity of raw materials - and, barrel by barrel, rake in billions of petrodollars in their coffers.

Rheinölbrücke mit Alpenblick

Rheinölbrücke mit Alpenblick, Klaus Geigle / Ruppe Koselleck 2021

Jetzt neu in der Weihnachtsauktion 

gemeinsam mit anderen Arbeiten von Axel Brandt, Ilka Habrich, Klaus Geigle und Thomas Putze 

Zunächst waren da die Alpen in Schnee und in Öl auf Leinwand von Klaus Geigle. Er hatte mir diese mit nach Moers gegeben - mitten in der Corona - um das ausgemalte Bild zu verbessern. Um einen Dialog zu beginnen - das Bild im Ping Pong zwischen uns hin und her zu reichen, auf daß es fertig werde. 

Es war der 29. Mai 2020 und ich hatte meine Performance auf dem JazzFestival - gemeinsam mit The Dorf einen veritablen Beethoven zu dekonstuiren - bereits hinter mir, da packte ich mein Zeug beisammen und grübelte über den Sinn und Unsinn des Lebens an und für sich sowie speziell in der Corona. 

Mittels Rasierschaum und rohem Öl hatte ich in einer Gastperformance einen Beton Beethoven in einem blackfacing Prozess dekonstruiert. 

Und jetzt verklebten meine Hände das Lenkrad meines Autos und ich befand mich auf dem Rückweg von Moers nach Münster, als mir die Alpen des Klaus Geigle einfielen. An der ersten und bestmöglichen Rheinbrücke fuhr ich von der Autobahn ab, positionierte dem Klaus seine Leinwand am Uferweg mit Blick auf Brücke und wartete auf intrigante oder zugewandte Inspirationen zum Bild. 

Wer sich also an diesem Tage auf den Uferweg des Rheins nicht weit von Moers begab, sah einen Maler mit Rohöl und groben Pinsel, einen feinen Alpenblick auf einer Staffelei korregieren. Vielleicht war das schon der wichtigste Teil einer Performance, die man niemals wieder wiederholen könnte. Selten sah ich so viele fröhlich grinsende Menschen an mir vorbeipromenieren, und mir einen guten Tag wünschen. 

Sichtbar wurden hier größtmögliche Differenzen des Abgebildeten mit der Wirklichkeit - wenn eine flache urbane Rheinwiesenflußlandschaft uns als verschneiter Alpenblick auf einer plainairistisch inszenierten Leinwand präsentiert wird, dann ist etwas mit der Welt und seiner Wahrnehmung nicht in Ordnung. 

Dieser Widerspruch aus Alpen und Moers, aus Rohöl und feiner Malerei findet in dieser Arbeit seine Vollendung. 

Unsichtbar bleibt allerdings, daß das verwendete Rohöl ein geschichtskontaminiertes Gemisch bildete aus Bitumen vom Baumarkt vermengt mit gefundenem Teer aus Gulfshores Alabama 2010 und Rasierschaum vom JazzFestival, der sich auf dem schneekaltem, lichterfüllten Alpenblick des Klaus Geigle niederließ. 

Daß das Öl aus Alabama ein glitschiger Rest von der Deepwater Horizon Katastrophe war - einer Plattform, die nicht weit von New Orleans in einer Explosion ihr letales Ende mit gigantischem Ölteppich gefunden hatte soll an dieser Stelle nur klären, daß alles, was Du auch siehst einer zweiten Ansicht und der stetigen Analyse würdig bleibt.

Die Venus am weißen Stamm der roten Buche

Soeben fertig geworden ist der wunderbare Kurzfilm von STUHRBLICK über die rohe Ölperformance unter dem weißen Stamm der roten Buche in Linnenbrinks Garten. 

 

Die weiße, schaumgeborene Göttin der Liebe wird im Verlauf dieser Produktion mittels Rasierschaum, Bitumen vom Baumarkt und rohem Öl von der Deepwater Horizon Katastrophe aus Pensacola Beach, Florida überarbeitet. Diese mikroplastische Operation am Objekt wird schlußendlich mit Sand, einer Muschel sowie einem Pinsel stubenrein zur fantastischen Skulptur transformiert.

Definitiv ein Best off der TAKEOVER BP 2020, die sich dieses Jahr mit großen Schritten auf die FEINDLICHE ÜBERNAHME VON BP resp. BIG OIL aufgemacht hat. Ein Künstler will dabei das Ölzeitalter beenden - ASAP!

 

Nur der Support von "Schwarzweiss ist die bessere Farbe" ermöglichte diese Filmproduktion mit Anja Kreysing am Akkordeon, Helmut Buntjer an der Posaune sowie Ruppe Koselleck an der Venus.

Und seitdem purzeln die fossilen Aktienkurse, Koselleck sichert sich im stundentakt neue Depots zu unfassbaren Tarifen und findet breite Unterstützung, die eine Kandidatur zum CEO / BP möglicherweise schon 2021 erlauben werden.

Venus on the white trunk of the red beech

 
The wonderful short film by STUHRBLICK has just finished about the crude oil performance under the white trunk of the red beech in Linnenbrink's Garden.

The white, foam-born goddess of love is reworked in the course of this production using shaving foam, bitumen from the hardware store and pollution and crude oil from the Deepwater Horizon disaster in Pensacola Beach, Florida. This microplastic operation on the object is finally transformed into a fantastic sculpture with sand, a shell and a brush.

 

Definitely a best off of TAKEOVER BP 2020, which this year is making great strides towards the HOSTILE TAKEOVER OF BP resp. BIG OIL opened. An artist wants to end the oil age - ASAP!

This film production with Anja Kreysing on the accordion, Helmut Buntjer on the trombone and Ruppe Koselleck on Venus was only made possible by the support of "Schwarzweiss ist die bessere Farbe".

And since then the fossil share prices have tumbled, Koselleck secured new deposits every hour at incredible rates and found broad support, which may allow a candidacy for CEO / BP as early as 2021.

"Super Work - Super Expensive" contains tar and oil substances from the Gulf of Mexico in 2010. More precisely from Gulfshores / Alabama and Long Beach / Mississippi. I visited the two cities in August 2010 and collected so much oil that I can still draw on it today.

Inside the petrol pump, which is glued to the small screen, there is a Chinese explosive device, which is suitable for successfully performing image-changing interventions. A yellow french fork flanks the fossil activity of the SUPER columns from BP.

New Border

Today I try to clean up my studio and my thoughts also. And I found many useless things, sketches, old papers, tapes, bad drawnings. Finally I started a typical "clean-up-waste-collage" to produce new work with crude oil pollution from the coast, to takeover BP.

Reading Newspapers is usually a bad idea to find concentration and contemplation -
Cheapest Oil since 12 years, today.
 - big Business but bad for the Oil Companies and the future fallen states, for REGIME CHANGE...  - who is next?

Iran, Russia, Turkey, ..........who knows! I start my studio day with french forks and english questions to the elder treaty of Sykes-Picot 1916. Looking for esthetic reasons caused old Borderlines in Syria, Jordan... find no solutions.

Mixed my lonley thoughts about with oil peaks, french forks and produced some collages with yellow squares, greenwashed areas and will hope to takeover big oil business... to smach them all.

Searching for oil at Pensacola, Florida

Today we reached Pensacola, Florida. The sky was grey in the morning. The day started with soft rain before the sun scorched my head.
We saw beautiful white and endless long beaches. We visited Gulf Islands next to Pensacola.
Whereever I had been in the Gulf area there existed oil, tar or slippery slicks at the coast. The employees from BP and all other workers have and had a real hard job to fight back against the spill. Every night the Sandsharks and other cleaning mashines drive at beaches round the Gulf area.


I made a new crude oil painting in Florida at the Wildlife Refuge next to Pensacola. Mixed media - oil, water, sand and the concept.

Slippery Slick and new Oil Painting

Yesterday I visited Dauphin Island and Gulf Shores, Alabama. First I found small tar pellets on the beautyful Island and some balls of bitumen. At East End I was stopped by security. It wasn´t allowed to cross the border to the area which had been heavily polluted by a storm the day before. They built sand berms against the oil spill there.
I collected enough oil closed to the forbidden area. The tar sticks on plastic bottles and oil clumps are mixed up with mussels and small stones. Some Streets at Dauphin Islands were cut short by hurrican Katrina . They lost more than 300 houses. I found the beach empty and lonley. But in fact you can swimm if you want.

Than I took a ferry boat to Gulf Shores. The very nice owner from the Lighthouse Bakery gave us the tip to search for oil at Orange Beach. A sizable spill reached the beach there in the morning hours.

Anyway Burkhard my fotografer and me - we swam in gulf and the waves had been great!
We stopped at Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge near Gulf Shores.
Here I found a good setting for oil paintings. I collected slippery slick and oil pellets. Some stuff was older - some fresh. Good for my canvas - bad for sea turtles.

Across a BP gas station

Today I found some slippery tar balls with sand and created my first work on canvas in the US. It is a dark brown painting from the material caused by British Petrol and the Deepwater Horizon. I filled many Ziploc bags with this stuff.

The white sand and the gulfwater at Long Beach, Mississippi with all its birds and fishes and men expect a storm. In the evening hours I saw men fishing before these things will reach the beach in Pass Christian, Mississippi. Maybe it is the last possibility to fish clean bass for a while - maybe not. I hope the best for them.

I pressed crude oil on these postcards - but I hope for all the workers and local dealers that they will survive the tragedy here in Mississippi.

Long Beach, Mississippi, First crude Oil on Canvas by Ruppe 2010

Waiting for the storm

Today I stay in Biloxi, Mississipi in a motel. Having Breakfast with a perfect view of Long Beachs harbour and a BP petrol station.
A beautyful beach with white sand and a troup of workers who collect tar balls - small dry or slippering pieces of oil. There is a clean up crew like this for every one and half mile. The amount of oil they find every day varies with the weather conditions. Crew chef said they expect a big slick today.

The Biloxi area was hit by hurrican Katrina, five years ago. The following economic crisis and now the Deepwater Horizon catastrophy agravated the already difficult situation.
People are very friendly but depressed. The atmosphere is nervous and the sky is grey. Waiting for a storm - and new oil pellets.
It seems momentarily you can better work as an oil cleaner than in a hotel. Empty parking places - lonley beach. No rebuilt houses at Rich Avenue. Only foundations remind of former times. I found a quarter laying between mussels and sand.

Other houses are reconstructed as a symbol of hope for better times. The receptionist from our hotel spoke of a lost season.

Today I will collect oil balls at Long Beach and neighborhood. I need the oil for my hostile takeover of BP,
but anyway, I hope not to find too many oil pollutants in this hard hit area.
